How do I share files and folders in the app?
Most individuals find it beneficial to share particular folders with their spouse, partner, children, parents, friends, business associates, advisors, or other connections. To ensure the utmost security while sharing, follow these straightforward steps within the 4Privacy app:
Sending an invitation
- Navigate to the “Sharing” option located in the bottom navigation bar.
- Choose “Invite someone” from the available options. This action will generate detailed sharing instructions along with your unique VaultCode.
- Share the invitation using your preferred method, such as text, email, and more.
- The recipient, upon receiving the invitation, will be prompted to download the app if they haven’t already done so.
- Once the recipient is within the app, they should select “Sharing” from the bottom navigation bar and then choose “Join someone’s account.”
- In this section, they will need to enter your provided VaultCode to initiate the sharing process.
By following these steps, you can seamlessly invite others to join your account and share secure access using the VaultCode.
Confirming an invitation
After the recipient has entered your VaultCode, you’ll have the chance to confirm their access and choose the specific folder(s) you wish to share.
Once this selection process is finalized, the recipient can take the following steps to access the shared content:
- On their app, the recipient should select “All Vaults” from the top left corner or double tap “Vaults” on the bottom navigation.
- Your Vault (only the folder(s) you’ve shared) will be displayed in this section, allowing the recipient to conveniently access the shared content.
What else do I need to know?
You can add and remove their access anytime.
